How It Works

Step 1Consoles and Wheelie Bins

Customers can choose from either loackable security consoles or loackable wheelie bins. Cyclone Shredding with provide and deliver the required number of units, free of charge.

Step 2Loading the Consoles

Employees drop confidential documents into the consoles/wheelie bins.

Step 3

empty the bin
A Cyclone Shredding Customer Service Representative (CSR) arrives at your premises and makes contact with the designated Data Controller, who directs the Cyclone CSR to the collection point for all material to be destroyed.

Step 3

emptying the console

The Cyclone CSR unlocks the consoles and transfers all the documents into a wheelie bin and then brings it to the shredding truck.

Step 4Preparing Truck

The Cyclone CSR then prepares the truck for the destruction process and places the wheelie bin in the shredding tunnel, to be lifted into the truck.

Step 4Truck Monitor

The shredding process begins and will continue until all documents are completely destroyed. The document destruction process can be viewed on a CCTV screen on the truck, thereby ensuring that our destruction process meets the requirements of the Data Controller.

Step 5

Once the destruction process is complete, a Certificate of Destruction is issued by the Cyclone CSR. The certificate will show the total weight of the documents shredded along with the time taken to perform the task and also allows you to maintain an audit trail.

Step 6

All of your shredded documents are kept in a sealed compartment at the back of the truck and then brought for recycling.
